As Billion Trees Africa every year we engage primary and secondary schools together with communities living around them in tree planting activities. This is done in the school compounds and surrounding areas. We get parents and elders to lead and guide the children in tree planting as a symbol of handing over a healthy planet to the next generation. The school children from then on are responsible for taking care of the seedlings until they finish school.
HANDING OVER A LIVING PLANET campaign empowers the present generation through tree planting to make the right decisions on the environment to ensure that their children and children’s children will have a healthy planet.
